Balancing Selling & Celebrating Your Holiday Home!
First let me say – I get a huge delight decorating my home for the holidays. I have a lifetime of “bedazzled stuff” that appear in every nook of my home. So when I am asked by my Sellers, “May I take my 100+ snowman collection out?” I say, “Absolutely, yes! And you are going to pick your 15 favourites to display this year.” It is all about balance – no singing & dancing Santa when you open the front door!
To those who celebrate any important holidays, family time and spiritual time is often of great importance and that’s why it is okay to say “no” to a showing request when you are sitting 16 people down to dinner!
A little compromise goes a long way and maybe the extra warmth and cheer of your holiday home will invite the Buyer to stay a little longer and picture their family Christmas there next year.
