2016 Paint Colour Trends

Is your home begging for a makeover? Painting is the most cost-effective way to transform a room.

We already know that Pantone chose two colours for their Colours of the Year – Rose Quartz and Serenity.

These colours may not be for everyone (our Team Leader, Karen Cayer, is not a fan!), so we looked to the experts – Benjamin Moore and Behr – to see what they’re forecasting as the top colour trends of 2016.

Benjamin Moore picked what may be considered a boring choice for their Colour of the Year: Simply White. Wait…don’t run away! When you play with different shades of white, you can create a beautiful, airy room:

White is also very effective when used as a contrast colour:

And don’t forget about white as a contrast to wood:

Behr has gone the completely opposite way; they’re predicting people will go with bold, contrasting colours this year.
