Original stories of the obscure, hilarious, and often thought-provoking like those above can only mean one thing: The Ottawa Fringe Festival is fast approaching.

This year, the Ottawa Fringe Festival will take place between June 14, 2018 to June 24, 2018, across various venues in the region. The festival is an opportunity for local and national talent to showcase their work, and gives the patrons of the arts another opportunity to support this essential craft.

With over 55 performing companies presenting upwards of 300 performances the Fringe is Ottawa’s largest and longest-running theatre festival, returning over $107,000.00 to participating artist in 2017.

The festival highlights talent from across the globe:

• 50% of spots are reserved for local artists
• 30% of spots are reserved for national artists
• 20% of spots are reserved for international artists
• 2 spots are reserved for youth artists.

100% of all proceeds go back to the performers themselves — but don’t forget you’ll need your $3 Fringe Pin to be a part of the fun!
