Ottawa home sales remain hot through May heat wave
The May stats are out. Here are the 3 key details to keep in mind:
- 1,921 residential properties were sold in May, an increase of 207 over last month. The five-year average for May sales is 1,864.
- The average sale price of a residential-class property sold in May was $406,063, and the majority of Ottawa buyers continue to buy properties in the $300,000 to $400,000 price range, followed by the $400,000 to $500,000 range.
- The average residential sale price has increased 0.6 per cent over May 2015.
