How We Give Back: RED Day
RED Day is an initiative brought forth by Keller Williams Realty and is dedicated to celebrating Keller Williams’ commitment to improving local communities. Whether it is through rebuilding homes, refurbishing local parks, giving back to local shelters or hosting blood drives, tens of thousands of Keller Williams associates from across Canada & the U.S devote their time to improving the neighbourhoods in their communities. This event is something that is entrenched in the Keller Williams culture and really shows how much of an impact a company can have when they work together as a Team for the greater good of everyone.
Last year we participated in RED Day by landscaping, along with the rest of Keller Williams VIP Realty, at Rotary Home. The Ottawa Rotary Home envisions a community that embraces the value of respite and residential services for individuals and families as part of a complete support network that promotes optimum health and well-being.
This year Keller Williams VIP Realty is participating in RED Day on Thursday, May 12 by donating our time to Pathways to Independence group home which has just opened in Kanata. Pathways to Independence services include supportive housing options, day, vocational and recreation programs, psychiatric counselling and behaviour therapy, court and justice related services, and short-term respite. Their mission is to facilitate a way of life that enables individuals with challenges to realize their potential and achieve self-empowerment.
We will be volunteering our time to work on landscaping and making the garden and home look welcoming. We will be raking leaves, washing windows, planting flowers and even trimming hedges and shrubs. This is a truly wonderful organization and we are thrilled to be a small part of making a difference for all who enjoy what the Pathways to Independence offers this community…and as always a sense of pride in our commitment to give back for the blessings we all enjoy.
If you would like to contribute to RED Day this year contact the Ottawa 4 You Team for more details.
