SOMALI HOPE FOUNDATION – 8th ANNUAL GALA
The Ottawa 4 You Team was proudly represented at the 8th Annual Gala for the Somali Hope Foundation at the EY Centre on April 21st, 2018.
This is a cause very near and dear to Karen’s heart, and as you can tell from this sneak peek, great fun was had by all! The theme of this year’s gala was, “Let Girls Lead” and included Senator Anne C. Cools as keynote speaker for the evening.
The annual gala raises awareness of the foundation which works tirelessly in its support of education, women’s rights, and humanitarian aid through its school, the Somali Hope Academy. The school not only supports the community but provides free education to over 300 underprivileged boys and girls. The gala also helps to raise funds to support the operational costs of the school.
